Join us on Saturday, September 13th, for a fun and meaningful community event! We will be serving a BBQ lunch to our neighbors (thanks to one of our amazing partner organizations 5Loaves and 2Turkeys), making hygiene kits and snack bags, spending time with our neighbors, and more! All ages are welcome! Please email Adrienne Nicholson at AdrienneN@thestewpot.org to let us know how many children you will be bringing (if any) and their ages.
We're excited to put together snack bags and hygiene kits and to do so, we need your help! The volume of completed bags we can make depends on the amount of donations brought in by volunteers. Please take a moment to check out what we need HERE and consider signing up to bring one or more items.
Below is a timeline of what to expect on September 13th:
9:30 – Volunteers gather for greeting and instructions outside building 200.
9:45 – Volunteers are dismissed to head to the different service project stations including:
- Making snack bags
- Making hygiene kits
- Passing out treats to neighbors
- Writing encouraging notes to neighbors
- Helping serve BBQ to guests
9:45 – Tour # 1
10:15 – Tour # 2
10:50 – 11:00 - Wrap up and clean up
